Woodlands offer shuttle service for groups of diners
Mercedes shuttle service available for dinner groups of seven or more within 30-mile radius
Inn also providing new car service
Summerville, SC – Woodlands Inn has launched a new transportation service for area residents wishing to dine at the state’s only Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond restaurant.
The Inn is now offering complimentary round-trip transportation within a 30-mile radius for dinner groups of seven or more. Advance reservations are required for Woodlands to send its new silver Mercedes vehicle to pick up diners. The hotel is providing the same service for breakfast, lunch or Sunday brunch, and requires just 10 guests for the trip to be complimentary. For couples or smaller groups, the Inn now offers car service with rates starting at $35 each way within the same 30-mile radius. Special pricing is available for those living farther than 30 miles from the Inn.
Woodlands Inn is located in the geographic center of the Lowcountry – just a couple of miles from where the Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester county lines converge.
“We are no farther from most of the Lowcountry’s population than downtown Charleston’s fine restaurants,” said Woodlands’ General Manager Casey Lavin. “However, because we are located in our region’s north area, distance has proven a psychological barrier to some. So, we have simply opted to take driving out of the equation and provide transportation to one of the nation’s finest restaurants. It also allows for a safe visit, and the opportunity to enjoy a few glasses of wine without driving.”
Owned by the Linton family of Summerville and managed by Salamander Hospitality, the 18-room hotel is one of only six properties in the United States to hold the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond ratings for both lodging and dining. Earlier this summer, the restored 1906 mansion was ranked as the fourth finest hotel in the United States by readers of Travel + Leisure.
