Betrothal Butler Tray
Acclaimed and romantic South Carolina property offering new service, part of “Engagementcation” trend, as well as special Valentine’s Day package
Summerville, SC (January 10, 2010) – Woodlands Inn, recognized as one of the most romantic hotels in the country, is launching a “Betrothal Butler” service for the 2011 Valentine’s Day weekend.
More people get engaged on Valentine’s Day than any other day of the year, and the Betrothal Butler will provide expert advice with all aspects of proposal planning, including special delivery of the ring, creative dinner menu choices and capturing the moment on camera. After the romantic holiday, the service will be available year round, and all a guest needs to do is ask for the butler upon making a reservation. The “Betrothal Butler” is available complimentary for dining and overnight guests of Woodlands Inn.
“Engagementcations” have been on the rise, according American Express travel specialists. According to the agency, the most requested amenity for romance travel isn't Champagne, or rose petals to sprinkle in the bath or on the bed, but rather location recommendations for marriage proposals.
Even if you’re not planning on proposing this Valentine’s Day, Woodlands is offering special, romantic package. Rates begin at $599 and include overnight accommodations, champagne and chocolate upon arrival, a three-course dinner for two with wine, and breakfast for two the next morning (either in the restaurant or room service). The package is valid from February 11-14 and includes all dining gratuities and taxes. Room taxes are not included and the rate is subject to availability. Special rates are available for additional nights, starting at $350.
Located in the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry, Woodlands is located on 42 acres of parkland grounds surrounded by beautiful attractions, including the area’s famed plantation gardens, while historic Charleston is just a short drive away.
Owned by the Linton family of Summerville and managed by Salamander Hospitality, the 18-room hotel is one of only six properties in the United States to hold the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond ratings for both lodging and dining.
