Sizzling scores mean savings at Innisbrook

INNISBROOK, FL – This year’s Transitions Championship at Innisbrook, a Salamander Golf & Spa Resort, could result in big savings for guests. The Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area resort is offering a discount to match the winning score to par on its famed Copperhead Course, consistently rated as one of the finest on the PGA TOUR.
Last year’s tournament was won at 13-under par by Player of the Year Jim Furyk. A similar score at this year’s event, being played March 17-20, will provide a 13 percent discount on three different resort packages:
  • Preferred Golf – rates begin at $159 per person, per night and include one round of golf per stay, a bonus round, $20 pro shop retail credit, full breakfast, unlimited practice facilities and more.
  • Innisbrook Your Way – rates begin at $309 per night and include a daily choice between 18 holes of golf or a massage at the new Indaba Spa, $25 retail credit and more.
  • Family Free Play – rates begin at $245 per night and kids under 12 can play golf, tennis and eat breakfast for free, as well enjoy 50 percent discounts at Camp Nessie and more.
To make reservations after the trophy presentation, use the code “Winner” online at or call 800-492-6899. The discount is valid for 72 hours after the tournament’s conclusion, must be used by September 30, 2011 and advance purchased is required. All packages are subject to availability, and pricing is based on double occupancy and does not include taxes.

Johnson and managed by Salamander Hospitality, Innisbrook recently completed over $26 million in resort-wide renovations to include new restaurants and a gourmet market, the addition of a new 20,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, and enhancements to its golf courses, clubhouses, lodging, and recreation and tennis facilities.
