Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club Announces New Sales Staff Appointments
With over 25 years of experience as a proven leader in hospitality sales and sales management, Shelley Smith formerly held the position of National Sales Manager at the Marriott Suites Clearwater Beach on Sand Key in Clearwater, Florida, where she successfully orchestrated pre-opening sales and marketing efforts and consistently achieved between 200-300% of her goals, winning Platinum and Gold Sales Manager recognitions. Smith is currently a member of MPI (including status as a previous Tampa Bay area President), ASAE and FSAE. Her responsibilities as Director of Midwest Sales at Innisbrook include direct focus on the Corporate and Association group business in the Midwest market, as well as the Tampa Bay Area Corporate group market.
Equally as impressive is the expertise of Innisbrook’s new Director of Northeast Sales, Susan Trembal. Trembal most recently held the same title at Saddlebrook Resort near Tampa, Florida, where she also previously handled the Florida market. Trembal returns to Innisbrook, having previously worked as a sales professional at the resort for over 10 years. Her previously held positions at Innisbrook include handling the National Association Accounts in Washington DC, California and Canada. Trembal is an active member of MPI and has co-authored “Planning the Best Golf Event, Made Simple,” published in FSAE – Association Source Magazine. Trembal’s many accolades include being a recipient of several Excellence in Leadership Awards, consistently exceeding sales goals and has enjoyed a high percentage of repeat business attributed to her professional expertise. Trembal will now focus on Corporate & Association Meetings headquartered in the Northeast.
Innisbrook’s Director of Sales Dan Miller commented, “Adding these two exceptionally talented sales professionals to our team is another important step in reaching our goal to return this acclaimed property to its place amongst the finest golf, meeting and soon-to-be spa destinations in the country. All of Innisbrook’s 65,000 square feet of meeting space has just been completely renovated, allied to $26 million in renovations property-wide. This couldn’t be a more exciting time at Innisbrook.”
