PALM HARBOR, FL - Salamander Hotels & Resorts has rebranded and improved the spa at Innisbrook Resort, guided by the vision of owner Sheila C. Johnson.

Now called Salamander Spa, Tampa Bay, the Innisbrook spa is part of Salamander’s growing portfolio of wellness properties. It features a new outdoor yoga and event terrace, along with an expanded menu of treatments and services.

Located in a private courtyard, the terrace will host workshops on a variety of topics that include meditation, yoga, and mindfulness. Additionally, the tiered space is perfect for weddings, intimate parties and evening events.

The new Salamander Signature treatments feature a therapeutic, holistic and genuine approach that revolves around each guest’s individual needs. They energize, focus and allow the body to harmonize, fortify and heal. They include the Salamander Signature Ritual Massage, the Salamander Signature Facial, the Cashmere Quench Body Wrap, and the Quench Manicure and Pedicure.  Each 80-minute treatment includes a foot ritual, gentle skin exfoliation, nourishing scalp treatment, facial mask application and restorative massage techniques.

Johnson designed the Salamander Spa brand not only as a place of healing and wellness, but a destination for discovery, growth and transformation. The company’s first spa, located at the renowned Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, VA, has been hailed as one the country’s finest. Another Salamander Spa will soon open in the company’s next luxurious venture: Henderson Beach Resort in Destin, FL, which will debut next month.

“My love for spas is what first led me into the hospitality industry and our concept is simple: let us help you relax and rejuvenate,” says Johnson, who is Salamander’s CEO and founder. “We help our guests discover themselves through treatments and overall wellness, both inside and out.”

Formerly known as Indaba, Innisbrook’s spa is open to the local community. It has always been popular with local residents and guests, and reservations can be made by calling 727-942-5258.

Already, despite its rebranding infancy, Salamander Spa, Tampa Bay, has sufficiently impressed and has claimed the top spot in USA TODAY’s rankings of the area’s 10 BEST SPAS.
