INNISBROOK, FL – Innisbrook, a Salamander Golf & Spa Resort, has appointed Rick Galipault as its new director of catering, while Amanda Harter has also joined the property as its new catering manager. They will manage and oversee the hundreds of weddings and social events held each year at the recently renovated resort, located 25 minutes from Tampa International Airport.
 
Galipault has over 20 years of experience in hospitality event catering and joins Innisbrook from his most recent position as Director of Catering with Embassy Suites Hotels in Arkansas. He has previously held similar positions with Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Kissimmee, FL, Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Sea World of Florida, Discovery Cove and the Orlando World Center Marriott.  
 
Galipault’s new responsibilities at Innisbrook include the booking and coordination of social catering events, business meetings/events and special events at the resort.  He will also collaborate with community and non-profit organizations on a variety of annual fundraising events, and will work closely with Innisbrook’s executive chef and banquet service team to ensure all events meet a high standard of quality and creativity.
 
 
Amanda Harter joins Innisbrook with nearly 10 years of experience as a catering and special event professional.  Harter’s most recent appointment was as Catering and Service Director of The 1818 Club in Duluth, GA, where she was responsible for the booking and management of all functions in the club’s meeting space and dining outlets. member relations and online marketing efforts.  She has also worked at Laurel Springs Golf Club in GA, and the University Center Club in Tallahassee, FL.
 
Harter’s new responsibilities at Innisbrook include the booking and coordination weddings, bar mitzvahs, business meetings, holiday parties and other special events. Harter is a past member of the North Atlanta Wedding Alliance (NAWA), Tallahassee Association of Wedding Professionals (TAWP) and a current member of the Seminole Collegiate Association of Leisure Professionals. 
 
Under the ownership of Sheila C. Johnson and management of Salamander Hotels & Resorts, Innisbrook recently completed a multi-million dollar enhancement program that touched all areas of the 900-acre resort.
