Innisbrook hosts a Weekend of Exotic Luxuries, November 18-19
Two-day event features classic cars, fashion show, fine food and wine, auction and golf
INNISBROOK, FL – Innisbrook, a Salamander Golf & Spa Resort, is hosting a “Weekend of Exotic Luxuries” on November 18-19. This unique weekend concept was created by Resort Owner Sheila C. Johnson, and is being held in conjunction with duPont REGISTRY magazine and Neiman Marcus. It features a classic and luxury car show, exotic foods and wines, high fashion, a gourmet gala dinner, a golf tournament, and a silent auction to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay.
The two-day event begins on Friday evening with an Exotic Luxuries Reception and Gala Dinner, being held from 7-11 p.m. at Innisbrook’s Inverness Ballroom. One-of-a-kind collectible cars and a high-fashion show by Neiman Marcus will provide the backdrop for Innisbrook Executive Chef Andre Halston to present a gourmet four-course meal, complete with wine pairings. Tickets are $99 per person.
On Saturday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., over 300 classic and exotic cars are expected at a signature “Cars ‘N Coffee” event. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., guests can also enjoy an “Exotic Luxuries Showcase,” featuring fresh Florida delicacies, fine wine tastings, and a host of luxury and exotic car experts. Saturday admission is $20 per car. By making an advance appointment with DuPont REGISRY, attendees can test drive an exotic car around Innisbrook’s beautiful, wooded 900-acre grounds. Appointments are required and limited. Car exhibiting is also welcomed with prior arrangement, and vehicle judging will take place at noon with awards presented at 1 p.m.
On Saturday, there will also be a silent auction to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay. Throughout both days, golfers can play in the Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament, which is being played on Innisbrook’s North Course.

Innisbrook, which is managed by Johnson’s Salamander Hotels & Resorts company, recently completed over $26 million in resort-wide renovations, which included the addition of the new Indaba Spa. Indaba has recently evolved its acclaimed and extensive Western-based treatment menu to incorporate African elements that complement the spa’s artwork and name, which means “gathering place” in Zulu – the language of one of the oldest indigenous South African people.
The recent refurbishment also included the addition of new restaurants and a gourmet market, as well as enhancements to its golf courses, clubhouses, lodging, and recreation and tennis facilities. Featuring four courses and over 600 suite accommodations, it is renowned as a golf destination, hosting the PGA TOUR Transitions Championship on its Copperhead Course each March, and the LPGA Legends Tour Open Championship on its Island Course each November.
