Hammock Beach Resort hosts the Third Annual Golf Invitational benefitting Special Olympics Flagler County
Palm Coast, FL— Hammock Beach Resort and Special Olympics Flagler County have teamed up to present the Third Annual Invitational Golf Tournament on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 1 p.m. The funds raised from the event will benefit Special Olympics Flagler County. Participants will enjoy a day of golf on the Jack Nicklaus designed Ocean Course, featuring six holes along the Atlantic coastline, as well a reception and prizes.
Special Olympics Flagler County provides training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for 287 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Activities exist for all ability levels. Anyone may participate if they meet eligibility criteria of having an intellectual disability or a similar developmental disability and are 8 years of age or older. There is no upper age limit for participation.
