Woodlands Inn hires Bob Seidler as General Manager

Experienced luxury operator begins work September 2
SUMMERVILLE, SC – Woodlands Inn, the only property in South Carolina to hold the Mobil Five Star and AAA Five Diamond ratings for its accommodations and dining room, has appointed Bob Seidler as its new general manager.
A 30-year seasoned hospitality professional, Seidler is a graduate of the internationally recognized School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. He joins Woodlands from Wentworth Mansion in Charleston, where he was instrumental in helping the property continuously earn the AAA Five Diamond rating since 2003.
“I’m extremely excited about continuing Woodlands’ tradition of excellence, and also elevating its profile within the Charleston and hospitality communities,” says Seidler.
Seidler is a past chairman of the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Travel Council, a former member of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and currently sits on the City of Charleston’s Tourism Commission.

Seidler starts his new position on September 2. He replaces Marty Wall who departed in August to take a position with the Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, SC.
