Transitions Championship Update - March 16
INNISBROOK, Fla. – March 16, 2010 – Pros continued to arrive at Innisbrook on Tuesday for the Transitions Championship, many of them testing the Copperhead Course in a practice round.
Among those was Robert Karlsson, the 22nd player in the Official World Golf Rankings, and others – such as Padraig Harrington and Ian Poulter – competing here for the first time.
Asked his impressions, Karlsson said, “Very, very good. Definitely it’s a ball-striker’s golf course and you need to hit it well to have a chance to get a good score, and it’s good.”
Karlsson is among the players in this tournament sponsored by the manufacturer of the #1 recommended manufacturer of photochromic lenses worldwide, who have had vision issues. Fluid behind the retina in his left eye cost him five months of action last year, but he has started strongly in 2010 with a win on the European Tour in Qatar. “It’s been getting better and better all the time,” he says of his vision.
