Transitions Championship Update - March 15
INNISBROOK, Fla. – March 15, 2010 – It was fitting that an Opening Day pitcher was on the winning team in the Shelton Quarles Celebrity Pro-Am, which was the opening golf event today for the 2010 Transitions Championship.
James Shields of the Tampa Bay Rays teamed with PGA TOUR® professional Brett Wetterich and amateurs Nomie Shock, Rod Patterson and Doug Bertz for a best ball score of 59.
That was one shot better than teams featuring Bucs Coach Raheem Morris and pro John Huston and hockey great Stan Mikita and pro Blake Adams.
A total of 21 teams played in today’s Shelton Quarles Celebrity Pro-Am Benefiting the IMPACT Foundation.
