Transitions Championship Update - March 11

The hits kept on happening for the Transitions Championship on Thursday with the commitment of Geoff Ogilvy, ranked 11th in the current Official World Golf Rankings.

Ogilvy, winner of six PGA TOUR® events since 2005 including the ’06 U.S. Open, has played the Copperhead four times previously, most recently in ’08 when he tied for 10th.

His commitment means the Transitions Championship currently has 14 of the top 25 players in the OWGRs in the field, as well as 76 of the top 100 players on the 2009 Official PGA TOUR Money List.

The commitment deadline for the Transitions Championship is 5 p.m. Friday (or 30 minutes after the completion of play at the CA Championship or Puerto Rico Open).
