Transitions Championship Update - March 10

An already strong field for the 2010 Transitions Championship has gotten stronger in the last 48 hours with commitments from two of the top 13 players in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Both Ian Poulter and Padraig Harrington will be making their debuts on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook – A Salamader Golf & Spa Resort next week.

Poulter is now ranked at #5 in the OWGRs after winning the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship last month.  Harrington, the winner of the British Open in both 2007 and ’08, is currently at #13.

At the moment 12 of the top 24 players in the OWGRs are currently slated to play in the Transitions Championship.
